How We Use Personal Data

STL collects and uses your personal information to operate its Site and deliver the services you have requested.

STL also uses your personal information to inform you of other products or services available from STL and its affiliates. 

STL does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Statistical Data

STL shares data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you an e-mail or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide products or services to you, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

STL keeps track of the websites and pages our users visit within STL, in order to determine what information is the most popular. This data is used to deliver customised content and advertising to customers whose behaviour indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Disclosures of Information

STL will disclose your personal information, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on STL or the Site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of STL; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of STL, or the public.

CCTV

We will collect still pictures and video recordings of you if you are within range of our on-site CCTV systems. Personally Identifiable Information visible within these images may include your face and/or other identifying features such as tattoos, scars, and clothing, as well as your vehicle make/model and registration details.

STL uses this information to ensure your safety and security whilst on STL property, for the prevention and detection of crime, to comply with our legal obligations under local laws and regulations, for assisting with any queries or enquiries, to aid in the handling of complaints, and to ensure the safety and security of our employees and business.

The data collected is stored on a secure server which is housed locally within our premises. Access to these recordings is limited to certain trusted employees only.

We may share the data with:

  • Local or national law enforcement agencies if requested by them to do so
  • Anybody who has legitimate reason to request it, and where we deem the recording is likely to be of assistance, such as:
  • Those who have been involved in an accident or crime,
  • Had property damaged or stolen,
  • Or anybody representing said person such as an insurance agency or provider
  • Data may also be passed on to third parties supplying us with advice or services relating to legal, property, or insurance issues.

Under normal circumstances CCTV recordings are kept for a period of no longer than 90 days, after which they are removed. Should a recording be requested, and the request granted, we may retain the data for as long as the request remains valid. In circumstances such as criminal or legal proceedings this could be for several years. Once we are made aware that the information is no longer required, it will be deleted as per our normal operations.

Legal Basis

Our legal basis for processing and collecting personal information varies based on the context for which it is collected. We rely on the following legal grounds to process your personal information, namely:

Performance of a contract –To enter into a contract or to perform a contract that you or your company has with us.

Consent – Where required by applicable laws, we will rely on your consent for collecting your personal information.

Legitimate interests – We may use your personal information for our legitimate interests to improve our products and services. Consistent with our legitimate interests we may use technical information as described in this Policy and use personal information for our marketing purposes.

When your consent is required, you can withdraw consent at any time (unless withdrawing the consent would frustrate the performance of legal obligations) upon providing us with a 30-day notice by sending an e-mail to info@streettracklife.com.  However, the withdrawal of your consent may adversely affect our ability to provide products and services to you or to maintain our relationship with you.

Third Parties and Transfers of Data

We remain responsible for all personal information communicated to third parties for processing. As such, we ensure that third parties that are engaged to provide products or services on our behalf and are provided with personal information are required to observe the intent of this Privacy Policy by having comparable levels of security protection or, when required, by assuring us that they will not use or disclose the personal information for any purpose other than the purpose for which the personal information was shared.

Opt-Out & Unsubscribe

We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from STL by contacting us at info@streettracklife.com. You may also follow the instructions in any promotional message you get from us. If you opt out of getting marketing messages, you will continue to receive messages from us about your relationship with us where permitted by law.

Accuracy

We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information is kept accurate and complete. We will not routinely update your personal information, unless such a process is necessary, or you request us to do so. In order to help us maintain and ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date, you must inform us of changes to the personal information you provided to us.

Costs

We expect to provide access without charge as a general matter. However, we reserve the right to collect a reasonable charge when your request for the transcription, reproduction, or transmission of such information is unfounded or excessive. We will notify you, following your request of the appropriate amount that will be charged. You will then have the opportunity to withdraw your request prior to incurring the charge.

This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time as we add new features, products or services, as laws change, and as industry privacy and security best practices evolve. We display an effective date on this Privacy Policy at the top of this Privacy Policy so that it will be easier for you to know when there has been a change. If we make any material change to this Privacy Policy regarding use or disclosure of personal information, we will provide notice on this Site. Changes will apply to personal information collected after the change is effective. Please check this Privacy Policy periodically for changes.
